The objects of Cooran Eco Market are:
1. To provide a Community Market on a regular fortnightly basis in Pioneer Park, Cooran, Sunshine Coast Shire hinterland. .
2. To undertake the organisation and management of such a market
3. To provide a safe and clean venue for the Market, required under agreement between the incorporated body, Sunshine Coast Council, and its insurer.
4. To seek members of the community to assist this not-for- profit incorporation in its operation, and management.
5. To provide to the local community of Cooran a regular venue where goods and services can be traded that promote a higher quality of life, as well as raise awareness of eco sustainable practices.
6. To promote and advertise the market to the broader community.
7. To convene the management of the market through due process, and articles under the incorporated association.
8. To establish a long-term community engagement through the Cooran Eco Market venue
9. To foster an atmosphere of community engagement, for the sharing and promotion of local people providing local solutions in products and services.
10. To provide a venue for Organic and Earth friendly products to the local community
11. To advance community awareness in Ecological information and practices
12. To further the creative talent of the local community through music and creative arts
13. To provide a ‘ Speaker’s Corner’ in order to inspire an interest in civic participation, as well as raise awareness and increased knowledge about environmental and community issues
14. To expand the Cooran Eco Market venue to include other land held by Sunshine Coast Council.
15. Moneys collected by the incorporated body from the operation of the market, is directed to cover costs incurred by the incorporated body, in its promotion and fortnightly organization . Surplus funds are invested into equipment and resources needed by the incorporated body, for the continuation of the market.
16. The association in the future retains the opportunity to expand the market event into a festival at times using other grounds held by Sunshine Coast Council.
